13 Simple Ways to Transform Your Health


In fact, it seemed so complicated and controversial, I almost didn’t get into the “health world.” But, it doesn’t have to be!

In fact, I strongly encourage you to simplify health in order to make a healthy (and happy!) lifestyle sustainable over the long term.

Below, you’ll find a valuable 13-step list describing how you can simplify your health today!

13 ways to simplify your health:

1. Address your stress. Stress left unaddressed will manifest itself physically over time through excess weight, a weakened immune system, and gut issues. Addressing stress can be as easy as taking intentional, deep breaths throughout the day.

2. Hydrate. See?? Simple! Drink more water and watch your health begin to quickly change for the better. Upon rising, drink 8 ounces of water to get your digestive juices flowing and move toxins through, and out, of the body. Add lemon for its extra alkalizing and detoxifying benefit. Drink water throughout the day.

3. Sleep well. Sleep plays a huge part in your overall health and weight loss. How is your sleep? Do you consistently get quality sleep? If not, why not? What needs to change to help you improve your sleep habits?

4. PLAY! Get your body moving, doesn’t matter how! Find some kind of activity you LOVE to do and do it consistently. Hiking, biking, walking, jogging, dancing, swimming, rebounding, T-Tapp…you get the idea. Your body is made to move! So, move it!

5. Renew your connection with your Creator. Sometimes our longing for connection with Him is mistakenly filled with food. But, there’s only One thing that can satisfy that longing. Get cozy with God daily and seek His guidance in your health each day.

6. Nourish your soul. What is your soul seeking this year? Listen and follow.

7. Follow your joy! When do you feel happy and fulfilled? Bring more of that into your life and your health will improve as a beautiful side effect!

8. Fast. A few times a week, I encourage you to close the kitchen at 8 pm and drink only water the next day until about 11 am. This allows your body to reset and refresh.

9. Drink green smoothies! Green smoothies are loaded with all kinds of nutritional value and give your body a powerful boost. They are energizing, alkalizing, and delicious! I call them “health-insurance-in-a-glass”. Add it in daily!

10. Instead of denial and restriction, shift your paradigm of thinking when it comes to health. Ask yourself each day, “What can I ADD IN today to create more health and happiness?” Then do it!

11. Incorporate positive self-talk. Listen to yourself. What do you say to yourself all day long? Are you encouraging or berating? Are you loving or hating? Only say to yourself what you would say to your best friend. Health starts in the mind! Use your mind wisely.

12. Simplify! Simplify your environment and make sure it’s a place of peace and calming. Is your kitchen somewhere you enjoy spending time? If not, start there! Clean out your cabinets and drawers. Add in a beautiful plant or flowers. Turn on some inspiring music. Make it a place where you enjoy preparing delicious meals for yourself and your family.

13. Remain conscious and intentional throughout the day with your food choices, how you’re feeling, where your stress levels are, how your water intake is going, etc. Turn off autopilot and make powerful choices regarding your health and happiness!! Only YOU can!

Health really CAN be simple! Stay in tune with your body and provide what it needs. Nourish your soul and deepen your connection with your Maker. And watch this become your healthiest and happiest year yet!
