Eating Psychology Coaching? What’s that?
I’m glad you asked! As a certified coach in mind/body nutrition and dynamic eating psychology, I get to support clients in using the power of their mind to create lasting change. Thoughts, behaviors, habits, actions.
It’s not just about what you eat. It’s about who you are as an eater.
My Journey into Eating Psychology
My degree is in psychology. I then progressed into a deep, personal interest in natural health and wellness (due to a health issue). That desire to transform my own health led me to the Institute for Integrative Nutrition where I learned TONS of information about holistic health.
My natural tendency towards incorporating “mind work” in coaching my clients (because it’s something that has always interested me and something I’ve always been tuned into learning) led me to the work of Marc David and the Institute for the Psychology of Eating.
I never even knew there was an “eating psychology” field of study until I came across Marc! It was the pairing of two of my favorite things…natural health AND psychology! Amazing.
The training I received from Marc David effectively addresses…
My Approach & Root Cause Work
My approach is positive and empowering, and it is ALWAYS grounded in the Bible. (The Biblical foundation is what makes my coaching a bit different from most out there!)
The health/eating/body image challenges that you may be facing don’t mean that “something is wrong with you.” Nope. It’s a place where we can more fully explore some of the personal dimensions in life that impact food, weight, and health. Oftentimes, our eating challenges are connected to work, money, relationships, family, intimacy, life stress, and more.
By working on the places that are most relevant to you, and getting to the ROOT CAUSE, success is more easily, and more sustainably, achieved. And, transformation begins in the mind. So, the psychology of eating is a key to success that many people miss.
My Clients
Most clients come to me because they are tired of obsessive thoughts about food and body overtaking their lives. They are tired of feeling uncomfortable in their body and are ready to find freedom with food so they can create space for stepping powerfully into their God-given purpose in this season of their life. They are usually very successful, driven, kind, compassionate women who are frustrated that negative food and body thoughts hold so much power over them. They are exhausted by toxic diet culture and want to feel freedom around food and body.
When we work together, my clients feel supported, nourished, loved, and equipped with powerful principles, timeless techniques, and Biblical truth that can absolutely be life-changing.
