What’s God Got To Do With Smoothies

Today I wanted to address a question that I’ve gotten a couple of times over the years about God and health...

People have asked me why I include God in my health teaching, coaching, speaking, and training.

My question is, how can He NOT be included?

I include Him because I believe He should be part of every aspect of our lives, including our health.

He created your body, your “Miracle Machine” as I like to call it!  He knows every part of you.  Who better to be right alongside you in your health adventure?

His Strength

Also, when we are trying to overcome big health challenges, we cannot rely on our strength alone.  We must be in constant communication with Him to help us make powerful decisions for our health, day in and day out.

And, He created the whole, natural, delicious foods that fuel our body in the most efficient way.  Fresh fruits, veggies, leafy greens!  He knew what he was doing when He created this planet and when He created natural foods to fuel us.

The closer we stick to what He created, the better.  Smoothies are made with lots of God food and they are the perfect Fast Food for our health. (There’s the God/smoothie connection!)

Soul Matters

Finally, no matter how efficient and amazing your physical body is, it will eventually succumb to age.  But your soul lives on and can have eternal life with God.  So you can’t only focus on improving your physical body.

You must also nurture your soul’s development.

There’s a part of you that longs for greater connection with God and that void can ONLY be filled with a deeper relationship with Him. (Too often, people try to fill that void with food and other things.)

So, there you have it!  Around here at She Shines, God is part of the health story.  I know of no other way to teach health than to keep Him at the center of it.

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
